The Tower of London and The Royal Crown Jewels

So we took a day to tour The Tower of London, the White Tower, and last but certainly not the least.... The Crown Jewels. I have hundreds of pictures.... however - no cameras were allowed to be used in that building

The Tower of London - from the outside

The grass use to actually be a mote filled with water. The guy that came up with this idea was brilliant!! Because they threw all of their garbage, and sewage out into the mote.... and when the tide came in it washed it all out to sea.

The gate that leads to the towers

Some random seagull.... They are FREAKING HUGE here!!!

That white box that is on top of wall is the place that holds the bell that use to let the people know that it's execution time. They would bring the person that is to be "Beheaded" out, and drag them by their feet to death.

The White tower

These were the gutters on the outside of the wall to the Tower of London. I liked the "VR" that was embellished on them. It stands for "Victoria Royal" or

A Plane coming in for a landing at Heathrow Airport

The Beef Eater (aka: our tour guide) I think his name was Bob?

Prisoners and trades (goods) would come in and out of these gates (when they were functioning for that purpose)

Where the Royal Crown Jewels are housed

I was just trying to get the seagull.... I got it and it's cool!!!

Ok, he's not a statute!!! It's an actual person.... but he looks like plastic!!!

You can kinda see his tattoo on his neck (towards the back) on the right.

Legend says that the kingdom and the Tower will fall if the six Resident Ravens ever leave the fortress. It was Charles II who first insisted that the ravens of the Tower of London should be protected. But this was against the wishes of the astronomer, John Flamsteed, who complained that the ravens got in the way of being able to do his job in the observatory in the White Tower.

The steps that lead down to the Tower of Torture
I honestly imagined it being bigger.... but it was really small.

The White Tower has four corners, three have a square tower tops in the corners, with one tower is has a round top to it.

On top of the hill... to your left and downwards is the entrance to the Tower of London.... was where they did the pubic executions.
